Letting students curate and display the work they are proudest of has been important to teachers for decades. From the wall display, to course portfolios to book sharing – we’ve always needed a way to display work. With digital work coming to the fore, digital portfolios (or ‘eportfolios’) are becoming more and more popular. This course will show you how to make use of Google Sites to support student-owned Digital Portfolios, enabling them to curate their achievements both in school and outside of their school life. Looking at using the portfolios as a space for pupils to purposefully reflect on their learning within different pieces of work.

Reality Composer is an effective Augmented Reality creation tool that allows students and teachers to create imaginative experiences that can redefine teaching and learning opportunities. AR allows users to fully immerse themselves in interactive spaces which can be applied across the curriculum and age ranges.
This course takes a detailed view at creating Augmented Reality resources and is split into two sessions, each around 70 minutes in length.
In session 1 we will look at some of the basic tools within Reality Composer and how we can create, modify and animate objects. We will begin to explore USDZ files and how these can be created and shared with a wider audience.
In session 2 we will explore some of the more advanced features of Reality Composer, such as behaviours, spatial audio and further animation. By the end of this session you will be able to create, enhance and share a wide range of experiences with your students and gain a better understanding of how Augmented Reality can be integrated into teaching and learning.
